Kanye West - Marginalised

Marginalised

Now as I sit here reading about Kanye West’s admission to a hospital’s physiological ward no less, and West’s apparent resistance to the aforementioned admission, I wonder if it’s a case of chickens coming home to roost.

Kanye did say he’d be “Marginalised” till he was out his moment, will all his comments about the racism in the fashion industry now be put down to “Oh he’s crazy” valid points made by Mr West about his treatment by Nike be swept under the rug due to what has been portrayed in the media. It seems to happen a lot in society, especially to people who don’t toe the line whatever that line may be. A line set by the powers that be possibly?

D. Chappelle
M. Ali
T. Fury
K. Williams

Now before you say he’s brought it on himself & there’s a bigger agenda Mains please stop being distracted by Kanye hear me out. Simple me couldn’t possibly know of agendas on the Grassy Knoll scale so I choose to deal with what I can see which is the distraction of Kanye by using Kanye.

I believe Kanye West’s heart is in the right place but his message is somewhat skewed by his antics, and we all know it’s human nature to focus on antics rather than the message. Yes he like’s nice things, don’t we all to varying degrees. But let’s not forget the theme here Kanye has spoken his mind and now he’s been portrayed as crazy which is something society will never let him shake, thus marginalising him out of his moment.

The bigger picture in my opinion is, play your role people don’t get too big for your boots or the powers that be will character assassinate you and that will be that, Cosby.

Peace, Maintain.

This episode also contains an interview with Doom Man a very talented artist with a clear vision and style check it out.

A native Londoner born to Jamaican parents, Doom Man grew up in a household where music was highly appreciated and passionately listened to. As a young boy, Doom Man was used to hearing his mothers collections listening to Soul, Funk, Reggae, Jazz & the Motown classics. His father would listening to artists like Sade, Mantronix, Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock and Big Daddy Kane.

He first started taking himself seriously with group called The Dungeoneers, calling himself (The Assassin) but in later years they separated. This was small but crucial turning point that gave Doom the opportunity to gain control over his creative outlet and develop his individual style & flair. In September 2000, Doom and his brother TK created Da Marvel. The concept derived from the well-known Marvel Superhero's characters. Da Marvel performed at clubs around the UK and ran successful weekly shows on Freeze FM and Internet radio station Major FM.

No Apologies signed Doom Man in 2004 and got straight to work on the Doom’s Day album which was never released, and unfortunately Doom left the independent Label in 2007. Dooms music has already landed him in Konami’s computer game called Crime Life: Gang Wars. The game features D12 who provide music for the title track and whose members lend their voices and likeness to the game. The game was released in November 2005. For more information, visit the website at http://www.konami-crimelife.com/

Doom has performed some of his tracks with high accolade. His towering presence and bold vocals joined forces with beat-box phenomenon Killa Kela at Wembley Arena in 2004. He was the opening act for De La Soul in Prague and for Onyx in Slovakia. Doom also performed at Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. As well as other performances in the UK and Europe, Doom took to the mic on the main stage and wooed a crowd of 20,000 at the Lovebox Weekender summer 2005 festival alongside Groove Armada, Milo and many more.

In 2008 Doom Man returned to his underground roots by releasing his third mixtape 'Until That Day Volume Zero' through his own label Onslaught Recordings. Also performing with the likes of Harvey, Asher D, DJ Ironik and Scottie B all over England and Spain. He has now been supported by Bristol’s biggest band Dr Meaker who also produced Doom's first single 'What Does It Say About You' released in June 2009 and with them performed at Glastonbury that same year.

In 2010 Doom Man has full control over his music as a writer and CEO of Onslaught Recordings, working with an array of producers in the UK and overseas. His 2nd release was the Deep Tech House club banger ‘Don’t Talk To Me’ produced by Yonurican out of Chicago, who he got in contact with via myspace. Then dropping his highly anticipated 4th mixtape ‘Don’t Talk To Me Vol. 1‘ has keep himself relevant in the scene.

Working on various projects and widening his talent to TV, gaining a small role in Nic Auerbach’s film ‘The Big I am‘ which starred notorious actors such as Michael Madsen, Vincent Regan & Steven Berkoffhe. In 2011 Doom Man released his 3rd single ‘Celebrate Life Part 2’ featuring Seyi Shay, then in 2012 released a free Hip Hop EP entitled ‘The Appeal’ which is also an alternative alias Doom has created for himself.

2013 Doom Man released three singles, See Me Strive, Feel Fine and Believe It, through his own label Onslaught Recordings and using PIAS for distribution. All three videos are now available to watch on Youtube or DoomManVEVO. Now in 2015/16 Doom is preparing to release his first four track EP.
